Description of Incident: An employee in the IT dept. brings his dog to work almost daily. This is NOT a medically necessary dog at all. A few employees go to IT on a daily basis and take this dog for a walk either outside or around the office for so called therapy to the employees. I feel if an dog is not a medical need, no animal should be allowed to come to work on a daily basis. It is very disturbing to me, as we are paying some good salaries for this behavior, plus disturbing the employees while they are working as I feel I’m getting interrupted at times. Some employees are not fond of dogs and then brought into the different offices and leaving hair everywhere. We are a FOOD TESTING COMPANY WITH A FOOD LAB in the building. How is this behavior NOT against breaking some type of regulation for a food lab. Something is wrong with this picture. Yet we just don’t bring the dog in when we have an inspection going on. I bet if we asked our cleaning people, they see this hair and have more work that the company is paying for too. I have hair all over my carpet in my office. I feel this matter needs to be addressed soon.

Description of Incident: The HR dept., two people named above are handing out Voters Absentee ballot applications to make sure personnel vote for the upcoming school election which Christi Welsh is running for. Both individuals are handing out individually at employee’s desk and/or handing them out in the HR office. Also Christi is handing out to most of the personnel in the office a little purple and white card to encourage people to vote for her. I do not feel the company should be paying them their wages for personnel gain, solicitation of an election involving one of them, and especially coming from the HR Dept. who should know better of all people. I think this should be immediately stopped, and I feel if not in our HR manual, something on solicitation needs to be added to our manual. This situation is out of hand. Employees are talking about it on the street how it has disturbed their work. The company also has a contractor who we’ve hired, who is running for the school board, and to my knowledge, he has not involved his solicitation at Global whatsoever, which is handled appropriately. The school board election is next Tuesday, Sept. 12th.
